first_imgDonegal GAA are awaiting clarification from Croke Park after a vote to elect a new county treasurer ended in a tie.At a county committee meeting in Ballybofey last night, Brendan Kelly (St Mary’s, Convoy) and Alan Boyd (Gaoth Dobhair) were locked at 33 votes apiece.Kelly and Boyd were two candidates to allow their names go forward to replace Cieran Kelly, who resigned from the position last month.  Donegal officials were unsure if the County Chairman, Mick McGrath (pictured), was permitted to use a casting vote last night. The Board have sought advice from the office of the Árd Stiúrthóir, Tom Ryan, and hope to have a decision at some stage today.Should the green light be given for McGrath to have a casting vote, the Chairman is then expected to convey his decision to executive members and clubs.  Donegal GAA seek clarity after vote for new Treasurer ends in tie was last modified: August 14th, 2018 by Chris McNultyShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:Alan BoydBrendan KellyCieran Kellydonegal county boardDonegal GAAMick McGrathlast_img read more
