The Burtonport Action Group has taken possession of the Cope building in Burtonport, given to them on the understanding that if it is sold, it must be vacated within a month. The group needs to do a clean and freshen up with some light repairs to turn it into a facility to show off the port, its history and its crafts, etc, and offer a cuppa to a weary traveler. They would like volunteers to help in task of making the building ready, cleaners, and tradesmen willing to donate a few hours to them, i.e., joiners, painters, plumbers, etc. Our goal is that this community project will begin to put Burtonport back on the map. Contact Mario or Frank for info. The Next Do this in Memory Mass in the programme takes place on Saturday 31st.
